Postdoctoral Research Fellow, Department of Biology (DR0312)

Dear Sir / Madam,

I would like to apply for the position of Postdoctoral Research Fellow, Department of Biology (DR0312) advertised in NewScientistJobs.com 19/02/2003. I am currently working as a Post-Doctoral Research Scientist at Department of Reproduction, Tracian University, Stara Zagora, Bulgaria. Three years ago I obtained my PhD in Poultry Reproduction at Agricultural University, Plovdiv, Bulgaria, and I also have six moths experience as a Post-Doctoral Scientist in Animal Reproduction in the same university. My previous employment involved four years work in a nucleus pig farm (PIC standard). I was in charge of the Artificial Insemination Unit and the weaned and dry sows. I have conducted research in the effect of weaning to conception interval in the commercial pig units. I also have teaching experience, I was Assistant Professor in Animal Production & Science in University of Ruse, Bulgaria where I presented tutorials and lectures in Technologies in Pigs & Poultry, Animal Nutrition & Reproduction & Environment.

I have collaborated with researchers from commercial companies and other universities (Gradus Ltd., University of Ruse, Agricultural University and Tracian University, Bulgaria). I can collect, record, analyse, evaluate and interpret research results: their preciseness and quality are recorded in my research papers. In addition, I have given oral presentations at international conferences in Bulgaria, Greece, Romania and UK.

I have a high capacity to learn new skills, to foresee and adapt to new research fields and social environments. Therefore, I think that my skills can easily be applied to work as a Postdoctoral Researcher. All my recent experience and the diversity of my knowledge can only benefit my work. I am a very enthusiastic and motivated researcher and I would appreciate learning new skills.
